ABOUT

WHO WE ARE

Latinos in Science and Engineering (MAES) is an inclusive organization that develops STEM leaders in the academic, executive, and technical communities. Texas A&M Chapter was founded in 1981 and has been active up to this time. What makes us different from other organizations is that we build a friendly environment while acquiring professional skills. This allow our members to learn from one another, become closer and create a familia.  MAES has members from different backgrounds that can be of great asset to any industry. Currently, MAES Familia consists of 50 members from different engineering and science majors. Our family keeps growing, and you can be part of it!

Develop students to be leaders of tomorrow's workforce through mentoring, outreach, financial support, and professional development.
To promote, cultivate, and honor excellence in education and leadership among Latino engineers and scientists.

OUR VISION

Be the foremost Latino organization for the development of STEM leaders in the academic, executive, and technical communities.

Create an everlasting aggie Familia that can help and support one another when needed.
